Client Service Manager - M3 North

Our client is a well-known and respected HVAC contractor with a nationwide presence across the UK. They operate within the commercial sector, serving restaurants, hotels, leisure centres, healthcare, industrial, and education sites. Supporting over 130 employees and generating a turnover exceeding £20M, they offer installation, service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of HVAC equipment, including air conditioning, chillers, AHUs, ventilation, and commercial heating.

The company is structured as an Employee-Owned Trust, enabling employees to have a say in management and benefit from profit sharing, fostering a long-term commitment to business success and employee involvement.

The successful candidate will manage a P&L of approximately £1.3M, overseeing service and maintenance contracts, ensuring client satisfaction, and leading a team of mobile engineers to maintain service quality and productivity. The role involves client relationship management, contract extensions, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates will be stable, committed, driven, and commercially astute, with proven HVAC technical expertise, management and leadership skills, and experience in P&L control.

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in service or operations management, leading engineering teams.
• HVAC technical knowledge of heating, cooling, wet systems, and plant rooms.
• Confidence in technical discussions with clients regarding systems, services, and maintenance.
• Experience with service and maintenance contracts and negotiations.
• Commitment to professional development and career progression.
• Financial acumen with P&L, budgeting, and cost control skills.

Salary & Benefits

• Basic salary £50,000-£60,000 DOE
• Car allowance circa £5k per annum
• Annual bonus based on net profit, service, compliance, and engineer development
• Profit sharing scheme through the employee-owned trust, increasing with tenure
