Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is recruiting an HVAC Manager for a Central London university campus. The role requires strong HVAC/Mechanical engineering qualifications and extensive experience in commercial building maintenance.

You will lead on-site teams, manage subcontractors, supervise quality procedures and maintain client relations. You will develop staff, prepare estimates, and ensure effective operation and maintenance of M&E plant and services while maintaining safety standards and log book

Qualifications

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (HVAC or Mechanical) with C&G, HNC, HND or higher.
• Strong track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Experience in the HVAC industry.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Report to and support the Account Manager on site.
• Coordinate all HVAC services with service coordinator.
• Prepare and assist with estimates for equipment, materials, projects and services.
• Develop and manage staff performance including annual appraisals.
• Provide technical support to client and engineering team.
• Manage specialist subcontractors on site and ensure quality procedures are followed.
• Maintain daily client relationships and ensure effective operation of M&E plant and services.
• Ensure logs are updated and log books reviewed weekly.
• Prioritise reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance for the engineering team and partners.
• Attend client meetings.

HVAC Manager - FM Service Provider - Central London - Up to £65000

One of our key clients are currently looking to recruit an HVAC manager to work on a large university campus in Central London.

The successful candidate will be fully mechanically qualified with a wealth of experience in HVAC and will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Report to and support the Account Manager on site
• Work with and assist the service coordinator to identify, organize and coordinate all HVAC Services
• Prepare and assist with estimates for equipment, materials, projects, and services and develop proposals for presentation to the client
• Responsible for the development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals
• Offer technical support to both the client and the engineering team
• Manager specialist subcontractors on site
• Responsible for managing the company's quality procedures on site
• Management of client relationships on a daily basis.
• Ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the sites M&E Plant and Equipment and Services.
• Carry out a daily site walk around to ensure that all areas we are responsible for are free from rubbish etc and kept clean and tidy
• Review the log books - Each week go through a different log book to ensure it is up to date and holds all the relevant information.
• Prioritising and delegating reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to the Engineering team and Supply Partners ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved.
• Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.
• Attend client meetings.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (HVAC or Mechanical); C&G, HNC, HND or higher.
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Experience within a similar role in the HVAC industry.
• Strong understanding of controlling temperature and humidity within a building
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
• Safe systems of Work Procedure - PTW, RAMS experience.
