Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced HVAC Manager for a central London university campus. The role focuses on leading maintenance and service delivery across M&E plant and equipment, ensuring safe and compliant operations.

The ideal candidate will be fully qualified in HVAC/Mechanical engineering with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and strong communication skills to liaise with clients and staff at all levels.

Qualifications

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (HVAC or Mechanical).
• Proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Experience in HVAC industry.
• Strong understanding of temperature and humidity control in buildings.
• Clear verbal and written communication with all staff levels and clients.
• Ability to manage a demanding workload with prioritisation.
• Extensive HVAC mechanical and electrical systems knowledge.
• Safe systems of work: PTW and RAMS.
• Health and safety and statutory compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Report to and support the Account Manager on site.
• Coordinate HVAC services with the service coordinator.
• Prepare estimates for equipment, materials, projects and services; develop client proposals.
• Develop all staff through annual appraisals.
• Provide technical support to client and engineering team.
• Manage specialist subcontractors on site.
• Oversee site quality procedures for compliance.
• Maintain daily client relationships and communication.
• Ensure efficient operation, maintenance and repair of M&E plant and equipment.
• Conduct daily site walk rounds to keep areas clean and safe.
• Review log books weekly to ensure up-to-date records.
• Prioritise reactive and planned maintenance with the team and partners.
• Ensure maintenance aligns with schedules and best practices.
• Attend client meetings.

HVAC Manager - FM Service Provider - Central London - Up to £65000

Do you have a strong backgroundin AC Maintenance?

One of our key clients are currently looking to recruit an HVAC manager to work on a large universitycampus in Central London.

The successful candidate will be fully mechanically qualified with a wealth of experience in HVACand will have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Key duties & responsibilities:

• Report to and support the Account Manager on site
• Work with and assist the service coordinator to identify, organize and coordinate all HVAC Services
• Prepare and assist with estimates for equipment, materials, projects, and services and develop proposals for presentation to the client
• Responsible for the development of all staff, which will include annual appraisals
• Offer technical support to both the client and the engineering team
• Manager specialist subcontractors on site
• Responsible for managing the company's quality procedures on site
• Management of client relationships on a daily basis.
• Ensuring the efficient and effective operation, maintenance and repair of the sites M&E Plant and Equipment and Services.
• Carry out a daily site walk around to ensure that all areas we are responsible for are free from rubbish etc and kept clean and tidy
• Review the log books - Each week go through a different log book to ensure it is up to date and holds all the relevant information.
• Prioritising and delegating reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks to the Engineering team and Supply Partners ensuring optimum levels of service delivery are being achieved.
• Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance is carried out in line with task schedules and industry best practices.
• Attend client meetings.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:

• Qualified in an engineering discipline (HVAC or Mechanical); C&G, HNC, HND or higher.
• A proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
• Experience within a similar role in the HVAC industry.
• Strong understanding of controlling temperature and humidity within a building
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and clients.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC mechanical and electrical systems.
• Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding and varying workload.
• Safe systems of Work Procedure - PTW, RAMS experience.
