Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a proactive HVAC and hard services technician to support the Senior Hard Facilities Manager across the UK estate. You will help deliver planned and reactive maintenance, ensure statutory compliance and maintain safe, fully operational systems.

The role requires autonomous working across multiple sites, with regular travel and periods away from home. You will lead subcontractors, undertake PAT testing, and help maintain RAMS and records in line with site manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities management across multiple sites.
• City & Guilds F-Gas Category 1 is essential.
• Strong HVAC knowledge and UK health & safety compliance.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations is desirable.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver planned and reactive HVAC maintenance across a nationwide estate.
• Undertake AC installations from planning to certification.
• Coordinate RAMS and ensure safe working practices.
• Supervise external sub‑contractors and monitor performance.
• Maintain documentation and records in line with site manuals.
