Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions seeks an experienced HVAC professional to oversee contractor-delivered works on a major refinery site. You will liaise between CBRE, ExxonMobil and the contractor, ensuring works are planned, specified, delivered to standard, and contract-compliant.

You will combine strong HVAC expertise with contract management. Responsibilities include reviewing plans, validating quotations, and ensuring value for money while maintaining health and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven HVAC engineering experience in an industrial/refinery/petrochemical environment.
• Experience managing, supervising, or overseeing third-party contractors.
• Understanding of maintenance contracts, scopes of work and variations.
• Experience reviewing contractor quotations, valuations, and invoices.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to challenge proposals when needed.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary engineering liaison between CBRE, ExxonMobil and the incumbent HVAC contractor.
• Review planned and reactive HVAC works to ensure technical correctness and necessity.
• Verify contractor works meet the scope, specification and contract requirements.
• Inspect completed works and confirm quality meets ExxonMobil and CBRE standards.
• Review quotations, estimates, variations and payments; ensure costs reflect completed work.
• Identify and challenge out-of-scope works and ensure authorized, commercial agreements.
