Job summary

Reed is recruiting an HVAC Service & Maintenance Engineer to join a growing building services business operating across Essex and North East London.

This is a mobile role focused on service, maintenance, fault-finding and repairs with no installation work, covering a portfolio of over 140 commercial sites. You will work independently, carrying out planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns on a range of HVAC equipment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, HVAC or related discipline.
• 2–3 years' HVAC service and maintenance experience.
• Experience on VRV, VRF and chiller systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair HVAC and air conditioning equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
• Work on VRV, VRF and chiller systems.
• Carry out pressure testing, fault diagnostics and PCB replacement.
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation accurately.
• Build strong relationships with clients and provide high standard of service.
• Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota.

HVAC Service & Maintenance Engineer

Location: Essex & North East London
Salary: £42,000 - £47,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Call-Out: 1 in 10 / 1 in 11 rota, £125 standby payment per day
Overtime: Regular overtime available, paid at time-and-a-half (minimum 10-hour payment)
Company Vehicle: Fuel card provided for business use
Holiday: 33 Days Annual Leave
Equipment: Company van, laptop, tools and uniform provided

The successful candidate will work independently across a variety of sites, carrying out planned maintenance and responding to breakdowns on a range of HVAC equipment.

• Experience working on VRV, VRF and chiller systems.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
