Job summary

RGB, a leading building services group, seeks a Semi-Static HVAC and Refrigeration Maintenance Engineer to cover three university campuses clustered around Mile End and Whitechapel in East London. You will service VRV/VRF, splits, AHUs and chillers with a strong diagnostic mindset and a methodical approach.

Role requires NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration with FGAS 2709 Cat 1, 5+ years post-qualification experience, full UK driving license and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Must hold NVQ Level 2 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• FGAS 2709 Cat 1 certified.
• Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience.
• Full UK driving license.
• Must pass an enhanced DBS background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual checks, planned servicing and reactive repairs on VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems, AHUs and chillers across three campuses.
• Carry out maintenance, service and reactive works across campus clusters within Mile End/Whitechapel area.

Job description

Job Overview

This permanent HVAC Maintenance Engineer role with RGB covers three university campuses across East London, all within roughly one square mile between Mile End and Whitechapel. Working semi-statically, the successful candidate will perform visual checks, planned servicing and reactive repairs on VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems, AHUs and chillers where experienced. The position pays £40,000 to £48,000 per annum and sits within a 150-strong building services group spanning heating, cooling, mechanical, electrical and general M&E disciplines. Applicants should hold relevant refrigeration or HVAC qualifications, demonstrate competence with the listed equipment and work reliably across multiple sites. Strong diagnostic ability, sound record-keeping and a methodical approach to maintenance are essential. I am currently representing an excellent building services company who need a Semi Static HVAC and Refrigeration maintenance engineer to be operating across 3 campuses at a University in East London. As a company they are over 150 strong as a group with a mixture of engineers within different disciplines from heating, cooling, mechanical, electrical and General MandE maintenance. Site cluster: All sites are within 1 square mile of each other within Mile End/Whitechapel in London.

Responsibilities

• the successful candidate will perform visual checks, planned servicing and reactive repairs on VRV, VRF, split and multi-split systems, AHUs and chillers where experienced.
• You will be looking after a cluster of sites carrying out visual checks, maintenance, service and reactive works on: VRV’s, VRF’s, Splits, Multi Splits, AHU’s, Chillers (if experienced with these)

Ideal Candidate

• Must be NVQ Level 2 Qualified in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration with FGAS 2709 Cat 1 certified as a minimum standard.
• Minium 5 years post qualification experience
• Full Clean Driving License
• Must pass an enhanced DBS background check
• Air Conditioning bias with refrigeration skills
• Proven Diagnostic and repair skills
• Must be physically fit as the role is very active with work on roof top equipment and working from step ladders
• Live within a reasonable commute to Mile End / Stratford area

Desirable

• Chiller experience
• PASMA Qualified
• IPAF Qualified
• ACRIB Qualified
• Formal diagnostic or manufacturers training
• 10 years post qualification experience

Package & Benefits

• Package - £40 to 48k Basic (depending on experience)
