Job summary

Deploy Recruitment Group Ltd is seeking an experienced HV Design Engineer to join our Anglia-based engineering operations. The role focuses on designing robust high-voltage electrical infrastructure, substations, and network connections, with a measured, quality-first approach.

The ideal candidate will have deep HV design experience, including 132kV projects, and a solid understanding of UK power distribution networks, DNO/IDNO requirements, and relevant standards. Hybrid working options apply.

Qualifications

• Extensive HV electrical design experience, with 132kV focus.
• Knowledge of UK DNO/IDNO guidelines and design standards.
• Strong communication and multi-package management.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review HV designs, schematics, and layouts.
• Design and specify HV plant equipment (switchgear, transformers, protection).
• Ensure designs comply with UK standards and DNO/IDNO requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to deliver safe, cost-effective solutions.
• Provide technical support through feasibility, planning, construction, and commissioning.
