AECOM in the UK is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our HV Substation Design team. You’ll contribute to a varied portfolio including substations, renewables and major infrastructure projects.

You’ll assist with primary plant layouts, develop equipment specifications, and provide design input across multi-discipline schemes. Mentorship from senior engineers in a highly collaborative team, with a flexible hybrid working model, offers a clear path to grow your career.

Qualificações

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Some experience of working on HV projects.
• Experience as designer or project engineer.
• Experience developing specifications for substation control systems, transformers, GIS, and AIS switchgear.
• Ability to work flexibly across multiple projects.
• Fluency in English.
• Some exposure to technical report writing.
• Full driving license and access to a personal vehicle for site visits.
• Ideally have Chartered accreditation or working toward status.
• Ideally have consultancy experience.
• Ideally have experience reviewing detailed designs and witnessing construction site activities.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with producing primary plant layouts for HV substations.
• Support with the production of equipment specifications for HV Plant and associated equipment.
• Providing engineering design input to major infrastructure projects.
• Support projects in the capacity of an Owners' Engineer role. Working on HV substation/Cable and OHL projects.
• Provide HV design input to renewable energy projects e.g., Battery storage, Solar, Hydro and Wind generation.
• Gain mentorship from experienced engineers within a highly collaborative team.
