Job summary

Hertfordshire-based HV Commissioning Engineer role via JAM Recruitment Ltd. The job covers testing and commissioning of HV equipment across substations and networks, including 11kV/33kV/132kV environments.

Qualifications

• Proven HV testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience across 11kV, 33kV and/or 132kV networks.
• Knowledge of substation equipment and protection systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience completing commissioning records and test reports.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing and commissioning of HV electrical equipment.
• Support commissioning activities across substations and distribution networks.
• Test switchgear, protection systems and associated electrical plant.
• Complete commissioning procedures, test sheets and technical documentation.
• Identify faults and resolve commissioning issues.
• Ensure work complies with approved procedures and safety requirements.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers and site teams.
• Support energisation, handover and completion activities.
