Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking a HV Commissioning Engineer for a 9 month contract in Hertfordshire, site-based. The role offers £600/day outside IR35 and requires hands-on testing and commissioning of HV equipment.

You'll support substations and distribution networks, interpret electrical drawings, complete test reports, and ensure compliance with safety procedures while coordinating with project teams on energisation and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Proven HV testing and commissioning experience.
• Experience across 11kV, 33kV and/or 132kV networks.
• Knowledge of substation equipment and protection systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
• Experience completing commissioning records and test reports.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and safe systems of work.
