Job summary
Mint Selection Ltd. is recruiting an experienced Civil Supervisor for a high voltage substation project in Exeter. You will supervise civil works, foundations and drainage on-site, coordinating civils subcontractors and driving safe, high-quality delivery to programme.
The role requires SMSTS, proven HV substation supervision experience, and the ability to read civil and electrical drawings. You will maintain a strong site presence, lead toolbox talks, and interface with electrical teams to
Qualifications
- Experience supervising civil works on HV substation projects.
- Ability to read civil, structural and electrical drawings.
- Experience working safely around live HV infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Supervise HV equipment and switch room foundations to drawings.
- Oversee ducting routes, depths and bend radii for HV cables.
- Lead site drainage works and groundworks to program.
- Coordinate civils subcontractors, set daily safety and quality priorities.
- Ensure RAMS, permits to dig and safe work practices are followed.
- Manage safe excavation near live HV infrastructure and service avoidance.
- Lead toolbox talks and daily briefings, promoting safe behaviour.
- Sequence civil works with electrical installation teams.
- Produce daily/weekly progress reports and maintain records.
- Compile as-built civils information for handover.
