Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to deliver civil and structural design for HV substation and infrastructure projects across the UK. You will produce foundations, cable routes, drainage and access systems, and coordinate with electrical teams to ensure buildable, compliant designs.

The role requires a degree in civil or structural engineering, experience in utilities or power infrastructure, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, and SAP2000.

Qualifications

• Civil or Structural Engineering degree required.
• Experience in utilities, substation or power infrastructure design.
• Knowledge of Civil design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD, SAP2000).
• Strong understanding of geotechnical and structural principles.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Civil and structural design of HV substation and infrastructure projects.
• Design of foundations, cable routes, drainage and access systems.
• Production of CAD drawings, calculations and technical documentation.
• Coordination with electrical and engineering teams.
• Support during construction and commissioning phases.
• Review of contractor and vendor submissions.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and industry standards.
