Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to join our High Voltage Civil and Structural Team in the UK. Based in a hybrid role, you will work on HV Substation, HVDC Converter Station, Overhead Line, and Cable projects, delivering design and FEED across the project lifecycle.

You will coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare drawings and specifications, and support proposals and costings.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural engineering; Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
• Experience in HV Substation and Transmission & Distribution networks.
• Strong report writing and client-facing communication.
• Willingness to travel UK/overseas for short site visits.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Civil/Structural design for HV projects.
• Prepare drawings for planning and tender packages.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical support and design assurance to clients.
