Job summary

NG Bailey Group Limited is seeking an Estimator / Bid Manager to lead LV to 132kV substation projects for DNOs and private network owners. The role requires UK-wide travel and a strong HV engineering background to review tender packs, visit sites, and prepare costed proposals.

You will manage the full tender lifecycle from enquiry through submission, liaising with management and suppliers to ensure compliant, competitive offers.

Qualifications

• HV Power Engineering background is preferred.
• Experience with tendering and commercial bids.
• Understanding of Construction Phase Plans and CDM 2015 regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiry packs and resolve scope queries to ensure accurate proposals.
• Negotiate with customers post-tender to capture late scope changes.
• Manage the entire tendering process from enquiry to submission and post-tender negotiations.
• Coordinate cost elements and risk mitigation with internal teams and suppliers.
