Job summary

Freedom, part of the NG Bailey Group, is seeking an Estimator / Bid Manager to drive tendering for LV to 132kV substation projects across the UK. You will review enquiries, perform site visits, cost proposals, and lead negotiations with customers through to post-tender handover.

The role requires 5+ years HV project exposure, 2+ years in commercial estimating, and the ability to travel UK-wide. A higher engineering qualification is preferred; competitive package includes car/allowance and

Qualifications

• HV engineering experience in project environments (5+ years).
• 2+ years in commercial estimating, bidding and customer-facing roles.
• Higher qualification in Engineering, ideally HV Power Engineering.
• Willingness to travel UK-wide and meet customers on site.

Responsibilities

• Review tender enquiry packs to determine scope and requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess project needs or delegate.
• Create costed proposals based on direct labor costs and supply chain quotes.
• Consider timelines, resources, and methods to ensure delivery success.
• Submit proposals for Senior Management review and risk assessment.
