Job summary

Freedom, part of the NG Bailey Group, is recruiting an HV/LV Electrical Manager in Wakefield to lead HV/LV operations, oversee installation, maintenance and commissioning, and drive safety and continuous improvement across projects.

You will manage budgets, support tender activity, mentor teams, and build strong client and supplier relationships, with a focus on HSQE compliance and the use of modern digital tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing HV and LV electrical operations within utilities, construction, or industrial environments.
• Strong commercial awareness with estimation and bid preparation experience.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and electrical standards.
• Customer-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate HV/LV electrical operations, including installation, maintenance, and commissioning activities.
• Manage project delivery to ensure works are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Support commercial activities, including estimation, tender preparation, and bid submissions.
• Ensure HSQE standards and procedures are followed across operations.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to operational teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders.
• Oversee planning and resource allocation, including labour, plant, and materials.
• Develop and implement best practice processes and operational procedures.
• Utilize modern technology and systems to improve efficiency and performance.
• Drive a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
