Job summary

NG Bailey Group is seeking an HV/LV Electrical Manager in Wakefield for a full-time, permanent role. You will lead HV/LV electrical operations, oversee installation, maintenance and commissioning, and drive projects safely on time and within budget.

You will contribute to commercial activities, including estimation and bid submissions, while mentoring operational teams and upholding HSQE standards. This role emphasizes leadership, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing HV/LV electrical operations within utilities, construction, or industrial environments.
• Strong commercial awareness, including estimation and bid preparation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and electrical standards.
• Customer-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Lead HV/LV electrical operations including installation, maintenance, and commissioning.
• Manage project delivery to ensure safety, on time, and within budget.
• Support commercial activities, including estimation, tender preparation, and bid submissions.
• Ensure HSQE standards and procedures are followed.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to teams.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Oversee planning and allocation of labour, plant, and materials.
• Develop and implement best practice processes and procedures.
• Use modern technology to improve efficiency and performance.
• Drive a strong safety culture and regulatory compliance.
