Job summary

Freedom is seeking an HV/LV Electrical Manager to lead HV/LV operations across installation, maintenance and commissioning, delivering safe, on-time projects.

You will drive commercial activities, including estimation and tender submissions, while ensuring HSQE compliance. You’ll mentor teams, manage stakeholders, and optimise resources to improve efficiency and performance. The role is based in Wakefield on a full-time permanent basis with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing HV and LV electrical operations in utilities, construction, or industrial sectors.
• Strong commercial awareness including estimation and bid preparation.
• Excellent leadership, communication and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and electrical standards.
• Customer-focused with strong stakeholder management abilities.
• HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing HV and LV electrical operations within utilities, construction, or industrial environments.
• Strong commercial awareness, including estimation and bid preparation.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and electrical standards.
• Customer-focused approach with strong stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (HNC/HND, Degree, or equivalent).

Desirable Qualifications:

• AP or SAP authorization for HV/LV systems.
• Experience working with modern digital tools and operational systems.
• Experience delivering projects within regulated environments or for major utility clients.
