Job summary
Unipart Manufacturing is launching a flagship, fast-paced Coventry project combining high-volume electrification assembly with complex injection moulding inputs. You will lead the setup, industrialisation, and optimisation of assembly lines for advanced electrified systems and battery module integration, bridging early-stage design to production.
Joining at the ground level, you will oversee HV safety, process controls, and line balancing, growing with a multi-disciplinary team toward rapid
Qualifications
- Degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and hands-on experience in electrification projects.
- Expertise in New Product Introduction (NPI) frameworks, PFMEA, DFM/DFA, line balancing, and lean tools.
Responsibilities
- Lead design, industrialisation, and commissioning of assembly lines for high-voltage electrification systems.
- Develop and implement process controls, SOPs, PFMEA, Control Plans, and CPk studies.
- Drive safety standards, HV protocols, and tooling specifications for battery module handling.
- Collaborate with external equipment suppliers for tooling, fixturing, and end-of-line testing.
