Job summary

Unipart Manufacturing in Coventry is launching a flagship electrification assembly project. The Manufacturing Engineer will lead setup, industrialisation and optimisation of lines for high-voltage systems and battery module integration, bridging design and volume production.

You'll define process workflows, line layouts, tooling specs, and HV safety standards, working with external suppliers. The role demands hands-on NPI experience, DFMA/DFM proficiency, and a track record in automotive or

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Manufacturing/Process Engineer in automotive, defence, aerospace, or electro-mechanical assembly.
Direct hands-on experience in high-voltage battery module/pack assembly or electrified powertrain manufacturing.
Degree or HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Automotive Engineering.

Responsibilities

Design and commission assembly lines and work cells for high-voltage electrification and sub-assemblies.
Lead DFMA and DFA reviews and establish robust process flows and SOPs.
Implement high-voltage safety protocols, containment guidelines, and tooling specs.
Specify and sign off tooling, jigs, fixtures, and end-of-line testing equipment.
Collaborate with external equipment suppliers on tooling and automation.
