Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a varied generalist role where you can make a real impact? We're looking for a confident and approachable Human Resources Officer to provide practical HR advice and support across the organisation, while helping us deliver an accurate and effective HR and payroll service.
No two days are the same in this role. You'll be a trusted point of contact for managers and employees, providing practical advice and guidance on a wide range of HR matters and helping to find positive solutions to workplace challenges.
A key part of the role will be managing the monthly payroll cycle. Working closely with our outsourced payroll provider, you'll be responsible for coordinating payroll activity, ensuring all employee data and payroll information is accurate, checking payroll reports, resolving queries and meeting critical deadlines. You'll take pride in ensuring colleagues are paid correctly and on time every month and that payroll processes remain compliant and efficient.
You’ll maintain accurate employee records within our HR systems, produce workforce reports and people data analytics, and provide meaningful insights that support workforce planning and organisational decision-making. You'll also contribute to the ongoing development of HR policies, procedures and people practices.
You’ll be CIPD Level 3 qualified with at least three years' experience working within a generalist HR service, including experience of administering an outsourced payroll service. You'll be comfortable providing first-line HR advice to managers and employees and using HR systems to manage workforce information, produce reports and analyse data.
You’ll have excellent attention to detail and understand the importance of accuracy, confidentiality and GDPR compliance. You'll be proactive, collaborative and comfortable managing competing priorities and working to deadlines. A CIPD Level 5 qualification and experience using IRIS Cascade HR Information System would be advantageous but aren't essential.
The role is subject to a Basic DBS check and requires a current valid driving licence and access to an appropriately insured and MOT'd vehicle.
