Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton near Bristol is seeking an HR Internship to support the HR Business Partnership team. The role focuses on digital and analytical work, dashboard creation and partnership with multiple HR functions across UK sites.

Open to undergraduates currently pursuing degrees in HR, Psychology or Business, with emphasis on data analysis, privacy and proactive engagement. Hybrid working options and a 35-hour work week are provided alongside generous holiday entitlement.

About us

Join our business-facing HR team at the Filton site near Bristol. Our team is made up of HR Business Partners, HR Advisors, and Employee Relations Specialists. We work closely with employees and managers not only at Filton but also at other UK sites, including Broughton, London, and Brize Norton.

We support a variety of different functions and operate transnationally across the wider Airbus company. We are a supportive team with an open environment for asking questions and sharing knowledge. We also believe in having fun and taking time out of our everyday roles to connect and take a break.

What you will be doing

• Providing digital and analytical support; creating and maintaining key HR dashboards to track critical metrics such as absenteeism and headcount management;
• Working closely with the HR Business Partners in the team to be immersed in a wide variety of topics (including internal recruitment and mobility, development and learning, absence and leave, performance, engagement, grievances and disciplinary processes) Being the primary HR interface with the Corporate Functions and Engineering business areas on-site, supporting and upskilling managers on key people topics as well as supporting employees during their workplace lifecycle;
• Ensuring that HR policies are applied and that HR processes are implemented in the business following local legislation and the Airbus HR strategy;
• Contributing to strategic HR projects and reorganizations, succession planning and talent activities.

You will report to the HR Business Partner for Filton in our team and work in cooperation with the entire team. You will also work with a variety of line managers and HR Centres of Competence.

Requirements

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

• Currently studying towards a degree in Human Resources, Psychology or Business, with an emphasis on Human Resource Management;
• Digital Savviness & Data Fluency: Comfort navigating digital tools like Google Workspace and interest for data analysis, specifically, the ability to build and maintain visual dashboards that tell a story.
• Compliance Mindset: A solid understanding of data privacy, GDPR, and the importance of confidentiality in an HR environment.
• Strong Communication Skills: The ability to articulate ideas clearly and connect authentically with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proactivity & Drive: A proactive attitude with a proven ability to take initiative, manage your own time effectively, and drive tasks forward.

Security clearance

Security clearance: You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
