Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited in Filton, Bristol, offers an internship in Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE UK). The placement focuses on financial management, capital investments and site strategy within a large aerospace environment.

The role requires Undergraduate status for the entire duration, with opportunities to influence real estate, energy services and maintenance across Airbus UK sites. Hybrid working and a structured developmental plan are provided.

About us:

The role is based within the Facilities Management and Real Estate (FMRE UK) organisation at Filton site. The candidate will work across the whole Airbus UK portfolio of sites with direct accountability into the Airbus Customer Facing UK team.

FMRE UK is responsible for a huge range of deliverables to Airbus UK, including but not limited to; Real Estate and General Zoning management, Aerodrome management, Energy and Supply, Major Building and Construction projects as well as Maintenance, Catering and Cleaning to name a few.

Working within the FMRE UK function; this exciting opportunity offers successful applicants the chance to influence and drive change in a challenging, diverse department, matured over recent years to an integrated \"ONE FMRE\" team incorporating both Airbus Commercial and Airbus Defence & Space (ADS) across the UK.

What will you be doing?

As the successful candidate, you will…

• Support the site HO Customer Facing with the financial management of budgets and forecasting;


• Participate in capital investment (CapEX) planning and projects according to Airbus principles;


• Develop site strategies alongside the HO customer Facing for the site to include; space management, sustainability, real estate, services etc;


• Integrating an MFT approach across the Facilities Management team in the UK. Leading projects that support workplace improvements across the site, as part of the company Better Workplace project;


• Facing the customers and ensuring accurate and timely reporting, supported by transparent performance metrics to continually improve the service we provide is fundamental to the role;


• Develop relationships across the site at all levels to be able to anticipate business needs.

Requirements

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

SECURITY CLEARANCE:

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
