Job summary

Airbus Operations Limited is seeking an undergraduate student for a 12.5-month HR internship at the Broughton site in North Wales. You will engage in the development and reviewing of learning solutions and will contribute to innovative teaching methods while working with a diverse, global team.

The role requires you to be enrolled in a HR/business administration or related STEM degree, with a strong interest in personal development and collaboration within the Airbus family.

Qualifications

• Undergraduates only for whole duration of placement.
• Must be enrolled in HR/ business administration or related STEM course.
• Strong interest in developing yourself and contributing to the Academy team.

Responsibilities

• Support the review and development of learning solutions.
• Take advantage of new teaching methods (e.g., digital).
• Participate in meetings with colleagues and managers.
• Support delivery of practical training in workshops.

About us

The Broughton based Industrial Academy, develops and delivers world class training for our customers in Operations. We take great pride in our ability to coach and up-skill colleagues whether they are already experienced or new to the business; ultimately enabling them to build the world’s finest Wings!

You’ll be working with a passionate and highly motivated team who have a wealth of knowledge covering production processes, lean tools/systems, manufacturing engineering and planning/logistics.

Additionally, we work closely with teams based in France, Germany, Spain and the US; you’ll get the opportunity to work collaboratively with these colleagues too.

What you will be doing

Teamwork and effective communication are key skills and we’ll help you develop these. You’ll be working on exciting projects as we prepare the future; exploring innovative training methods and the skills we’ll need to build the aircraft of tomorrow!

• Support the review and development of learning solutions.
• Taking advantage of new ways of teaching (for example: digital means).
• Taking part in meetings with colleagues, managers and internal customers.
• Supporting the delivery of practical training in our workshops.

Requirements

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only . Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:

• You should be enrolled in a HR/business administration degree or a related technical degree;
• Google Suite knowledge;
• Enthusiasm and a strong interest in developing yourself, which contribute to the success of the Academy team and the Airbus family;
• Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) subject qualifications are preferable together with the desire to work in a technical team environment.

Security Clearance

You will be subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. You may also need to gain UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control, depending on the role.
