Job description

Company Overview

You will be joining a leading Insurance and Reinsurance Broker as their HR Generalist/Adviser on a 14 month fixed term contract. The purpose of this role is to provide a generalist HR service across the company, reporting directly into the Head of HR. Based in their modern City of London office three days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining two days.

Role Responsibilities

In your new role, you will be responsible for maintaining the Learning Management System, assisting the HR team with all work experience student programmes and inductions, supporting the delivery of the company's annual appraisal programme, supporting the end-to-end process for work visas for both existing employees and new employees requiring a visa to commence employment, supporting on employee relations matters, accurately collating ad-hoc payroll changes, supporting the HR team with preparing spreadsheets for annual bonus/salary reviews and assisting the Talent Acquisition Business Partner with resourcing and onboarding including scheduling interviews for candidates and hiring managers. You will support with the introduction of new processes in response to regulation changes, scan documents to employees' e-files, assist the Head of HR and wider HR team in the delivery of HR related projects and upload starters and leavers onto the pension portal.

Role Requirements

In order to succeed in this role, you will need to possess Administrative experience within the HR/Recruitment space and have extensive knowledge of HR processes and HR best practice. Ideally you will have experience working within the Insurance or Financial Services space and be confident with the use of ADP system (desirable). You will have excellent attention to detail, possess an outstanding work ethic and be able to work well independently and as part of a wider team. You will be a flexible, adaptable and highly motivated individual with a proactive and enthusiastic attitude towards all tasks. You will be a strong communicator and have brilliant time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks. You will adjust quickly to new responsibilities and be able to work under pressure.

In Return

You will receive an annual salary of up to £40,000 + Benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate. You will be starting on an initial fixed term contract but due to the size of the company, there could be an opportunity to join on a permanent basis, or have the contract extended further. You will be part of a very well-established, prestigious and highly regarded Insurance firm that has an excellent reputation in the market. You will be joining a very close-knit, supportive, welcoming and high-performing team who will be there to assist with your transition into the business as well as your continued learning and development. Based in their super modern City of London office 3 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 2 days, in line with the firms hybrid working model.
