Job summary

DRiNKLiNK SCIO seeks an experienced HR Director on a voluntary basis to lead HR policy, strategy, and ensure compliance with employment law. This role involves supporting recruitment, training, and fostering a culture of diversity and inclusion within the charity's workforce.

Job description

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate HR Director to join us on a voluntary basis and support our people strategy as part of our growing team.

DRiNKLiNK believes that no one life should be negatively affected by someone else’s drinking.

Our aim is to link people affected by someone else’s drinking, we know the impact of this can be wide reaching so we work to provide signposting to support, and services to facilitate education and recovery.

Objective of the role:

The HR Director will serve as a key member of the Board of Trustees, with overall responsibility for shaping and supporting our HR policies, practices, and culture. This includes ensuring that the charity complies with employment law and best practice for volunteer and staff engagement.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading on HR strategy, policies, and planning in alignment with the charity’s values.
  • Advising the Board on employment legislation and workforce best practices.
  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes for volunteers and staff.
  • Overseeing training, development, and performance support systems.
  • Supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion across the organisation.
  • Ensuring that the charity’s people policies remain up-to-date and compliant.

Attributes:

  • The role would require proven experience in an HR leadership role with strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • The role involves working from home. The board meet once a month and there is occasional need for the provision of ad hoc assistance.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a charitable/volunteer environment would be desirable.
