We are looking for a Human Resources Consultant to join our People Advisory service line, where we support clients with customized, practical human resources solutions that help organizations grow and succeed. This role involves supporting a diverse portfolio of external clients, providing both ongoing and project-based HR consulting services tailored to each organization’s needs. The position offers hybrid flexibility, with an expectation of being in the office three days per week.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
  2. Delivering high-quality HR consulting services, including operational HR support, policy review and development, performance management, employee relations, compensation review and analysis, health and safety support, and legislative documentation
  3. Assisting in the development and delivery of training to clients
  4. Tracking expenses and time against project budgets
  5. Participating in proposal development
  6. Preparing materials for workshops, speaking engagements, and HR communications
  7. Organizing and facilitating meetings both in person and virtually
  8. Maintaining records related to business development activities
  9. Supporting the People Advisory team as needed
  10. Demonstrating strong technical and professional knowledge and engaging in continuous learning
  11. Staying current with industry developments through research and professional development
  12. Traveling locally to client sites as required

Experience and education requirements:

  • Diploma or post-secondary degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Possession or pursuit of a CHRP or CHRL designation (asset)
  • 5+ years of hands-on HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of the Employment Standards Act, WSIB, labour relations, OHSA, and pay equity audits
  • Proactive problem-solver with a client-first mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, adaptable to different audiences
  • Organized, able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Open to local travel as needed
