You will become a strategic partner to SHG’s management and leadership teams, helping to shape workforce decisions and drive transformation.
We value the Be You approach and pride ourselves on diversity and inclusive culture. The role offers hybrid working arrangements and opportunities to influence across Stockport’s communities.
Do you THRIVE when working in an environment where managers and leaders have a high stake in the People agenda, and where healthy challenge is the norm?
Can you influence and challenge leaders of all levels, and forge strong relationships to achieve excellent results, in a challenging environment where the options and way forward are not clear cut?
Can you effectively juggle varied and often complex generalist work with interesting and forward-looking strategic objectives and projects?
If the answers are yes, then we’d love to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to join an organisation that is ambitious and innovative in approach but with social values you can be proud of. We are looking for someone to become a valued member of a vibrant People & OD team who will help us deliver the People Strategy “Embrace Change, Enable Transformation” through being an integral, strategic partner to SHG’s Management / Leadership teams.

What we’re looking for:
At Stockport Homes Group we are passionate about transforming our customers’ lives and believe this is achieved through a highly engaged workforce. Alongside managing homes across Stockport, we have grown and diversified our services through our Group structure and now have close to 700 colleagues.
Our modern office is a bright, positive working environment with great collaborative working spaces. We also value hybrid working arrangements and you will have the opportunity to shape and agree how you work between office and home to suit both your own and the business needs.
The SHG “Be You” approach sums up our belief that everyone has the right to be who they are, and to be that person at work, in line with SHG’s Values. We’re always looking to improve diversity within our teams to enhance this culture and to be truly representative of the communities we work in.
