The Job:

Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: City of London

Salary: Up to £40,000, DoE

What would I be doing day to day?

  1. Producing employee documentation, including contracts and contractual changes.
  2. Managing the HR enquiries inbox and responding within SLAs.
  3. Supporting UK and overseas payroll administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  4. Coordinating the onboarding process, including background checks and first-day inductions.
  5. Managing probationary periods, fixed-term contracts, and contingent worker processes.
  6. Handling employee lifecycle processes, including leavers, reference requests, and benefits administration.
  7. Supporting HR projects, including process improvements and digital transformation.
  8. Assisting with maternity, paternity, and shared parental leave queries.
  9. Ensuring compliance with FCA Conduct Rules by maintaining high levels of integrity and professionalism.

What is the company looking for?

  1. Previous experience with and a passion for HR.
  2. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (ideally V-lookups).
  3. A team player with a flexible attitude and a proactive approach.
