Job summary

Bibby Line Group is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join the People Team, supporting colleagues and leaders across Bibby Line Group and Bibby Marine in a generalist role.

This hybrid role blends HR partnering, HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and people initiatives, delivering practical advice and helping to create an exceptional colleague experience across the business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer or Generalist role.
• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations activity.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data.

Responsibilities

• Providing practical HR advice, guidance and coaching to managers on a range of people matters, helping to build leadership capability and confidence.
• Supporting the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes by keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Managing employee relations cases, including performance, absence and conduct issues.
• Building relationships with leaders across the Group and supporting workforce planning and organisational projects.
• Assisting with payroll, reward and HR compliance processes.

HR Advisor (Operations & Advisory)

Location: Liverpool, Walker House (Hybrid Working – 2 days on site either Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday)

Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 + Benefits

Full Time - Permanent

At Bibby Line Group, our people are at the heart of our success. We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join our People Team, supporting colleagues and leaders across Bibby Line Group and Bibby Marine.

This is a broad generalist role combining HR Partnering, HR operations, employee relations, recruitment and people initiatives. You'll work closely with managers across the business, providing practical advice and helping to deliver an exceptional colleague experience.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional looking to broaden their experience across HR Operations, Employee Relations, Talent, Reward and Business Partnering while building the skills required for future progression.

What You'll Be Doing

Reporting to the Head of HR Operations, with exposure to both the Group Chief People Officer and Head of HR for Bibby Marine, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality people service across Bibby Line Group and Bibby Marine.

• Providing practical HR advice, guidance and coaching to managers on a range of people matters, helping to build leadership capability and confidence.
• Through keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practice, support the development and continuous improvement of HR policies and processes.
• Supporting managers with performance management activities and helping to embed a high-performance culture across the business
• Managing employee relations cases, including performance, absence and conduct issues.
• Building effective relationships with leaders across the Group and supporting wider people initiatives, workforce planning and organisational projects
• Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement activities across the Group.
• Managing employee lifecycle activities from onboarding through to offboarding.
• Assisting with payroll, reward and HR compliance processes.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer or Generalist role.
• CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting employee relations activity.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data.
