Job summary

We are seeking an HR Advisor to join a client in Manchester. You’ll work with the People team to deliver a professional HR service during a period of transformation.

Responsibilities include supporting managers with recruitment, onboarding, policy guidance, disciplinary and grievance handling, and contributing to the L&D strategy; maintaining employee records and reporting; and driving employee engagement across the business.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Advisor to join a client of mine based in Manchester. This is a brand-new role well suited to a proactive and confident HR professional. You’ll work closely with the People team to deliver a professional HR service to the business, supporting them through a period of transformation.

Below is an overview of the role in more detail:

• Supporting Managers with the recruitment and selection process, ensuring the business is successful in attracting the talent needed to succeed as a business
• Ensuring an effective onboarding process for new starters
• Advising Managers on all areas of people policies and processes
• Guiding Managers through disciplinary and grievance cases, ensuring fairness and compliance with legislation
• Supporting with the delivery of the overall L and D strategy
• Maintaining accurate employee records on the HR system, producing reports for the business
• Liaising with external benefit providers
• Supporting with employee engagement and internal communication initiatives
• Contributing to HR projects

This is a busy and varied role ideal for someone already working at the Advisor level having gained some exposure within a professional services environment.

You’ll be a key member of the HR team, working closely with senior colleagues and managers while helping to ensure a positive and consistent employee experience across the organisation.
