Job Description:

My client, a leading public sector organisation based in Belfast, is looking for a Full-Time Human Resources Administrator.

  • Duration: 4 months (initially with extension possible)
  • Full-Time, Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm
Job Summary / Main Purpose

To deliver an efficient, customer-focused, high-quality Human Resource Service. To manage daily HR processes and systems, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and employment legislation within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

The postholder will:

  • Manage HR administrative processes in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislation.
  • Provide advice to managers and staff on policies, terms, conditions, and employment law.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and to high standards.
  • Utilize electronic HR systems effectively and support team development.
  • Collaborate with BSO Shared Service Centres and HSC Pensions Branch.
  • Collect, analyze, and report HR data as required.
  • Maintain electronic and paper filing systems securely.
  • Assist senior HR staff with policy applications and advice.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including management, staff, trade unions, and the public.
  • Undertake projects and surveys to enhance HR services.
  • Organize meetings and hearings, including minute-taking.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • RQF Level 4 or higher qualification + 1 year HR experience, OR
  • 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C / 9-4 including English + 2 years admin/customer-facing experience, 1 year in HR, OR
  • 3 years' admin/customer-facing experience, with 1 year in HR.

Additional Requirements:

  • At least 1 year experience with SAP HRPTS (processing HR actions).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, employment, and equality legislation.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and as part of a team.
