HR Officer

(Newry)

VANRATH is exclusively partnering with a rapidly expanding organisation, presently seeking to appoint a HR Officer based in Newry, County Down on a full-time, permanent basis.

The HR Officer will play a crucial role in supporting recruitment and on-boarding processes, ensuring that the organisation attracts and retains top talent.

This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with the HRBP and department heads to meet the company's staffing needs and support overall HR functions

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the full recruitment process, from job posting to interview scheduling and candidate selection.
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Conduct initial screenings and interviews to assess candidate suitability.
  • Liaise with department heads to understand their staffing requirements.
  • Oversee the on-boarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
  • Prepare and deliver induction programs, including company policies, procedures, and training sessions.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation and compliance checks are completed.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues.
  • Support the HRBP in handling employee relations matters, including performance management and disciplinary actions.
  • Foster a positive working environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare HR reports and metrics as required.
  • Identify training needs and support the implementation of development programs.
  • Assist in organising and coordinating training sessions.

The Person

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a HR role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws.
