RPS is seeking a
Human Resources Administrator to join our shared services team based in
Huddersfield or

About The Team
Our Human Resources (HR) Admin team plays a crucial role in supporting the entire UK business through a diverse range of HR administrative tasks. This team is dedicated to ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations by collaborating closely with HR Business Partners and other HR colleagues. From onboarding new employees to managing employee records, handling payroll, and assisting with employee relations, the HR Admin team is involved in every step of the HR process. Their comprehensive involvement in the end-to-end HR Admin cycle ensures that all HR functions are seamlessly integrated, contributing to the overall success and well-being of the organisation.
About You
As a key member of the Human Resources Share Services Team, your role as
HR Administrator is critical to our strategic priorities – to support the whole UK business on the full end to end HR Admin cycle. Whether you are just starting out or taking the next step in your career, this position provides an opportunity for you to progress with RPS.
You will need live within a commutable distance to either Huddersfield or Leeds and be available to work on site, Monday to Friday (37.5hrs).
Your Responsibilities
- Production of all HR administration including offer letters, contracts of employment, variations to contract, references etc
- Update and maintain company electronic personnel records, documentation and the HR database
- Answer employee queries regarding HR and payroll-related issues
- Collate payroll information, including starters and leavers, and liaising with the Group Payroll Function to facilitate changes
- Provide advice and guidance to line managers and employees, for e.g. family leave
- Supporting ad-hoc HR projects and undertaking a variety of general administrative tasks
- Build effective relationships with colleagues
Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
This role will suit someone who already has an initial level of HR Admin experience and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional environment. Based at Huddersfield or Leeds, you will be looking to join a team-based environment but where you can drive your own workload and use your own initiative. Other attributes we require include:
- Good understanding of Microsoft packages
- Keen eye for detail
- Able to work to deadlines and prioritise workloads
- Able to adapt to change, as we look to modernise the team and improve our processes
- Excellent verbal, written and numeracy skills
- Able to communicate with internal customers at all levels
