Job summary

Sorenson Communications, SignVideo, and Sign Language Interactions seek a proactive HR Administrator in Glasgow to support day-to-day HR services. You will maintain employee records, respond to manager queries, support payroll, and help implement HR policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Education: HND in Business or HR related course.
  • Preferred Education: BA Business/Human Resources or CIPD Level 3/5
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1+ years as a HR Assistant or Administration role
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and Employee Relations is highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and processing employee contracts, and ensuring they are in compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage all of the incoming queries to internal HR mailbox.
  • Maintain HR-related files such as job descriptions, performance evaluations, and employee records—while ensuring GDPR compliance.
  • Background checks: conduct pre-employment background checks, verify employment and education history, and ensure documentation is completed.
  • Maintain HR-related databases, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
  • Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback for improvements.
  • Coordinate onboarding, handle employee relations issues, and manage HR-related projects with the HR team.
  • Assist in processing payroll and handling payroll enquiries.
  • Oversee full recruitment cycle: scheduling interviews, posting job ads, and coordinating recruitment.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and training programs.
  • Liaise with employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and HR matters.
  • Arrange travel bookings for employees in line with policies and budgets.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the HR Manager.

Role Summary

The HR Administrator plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of HR services, ensuring efficient administration across the employee lifecycle. Working closely with the HR team and contributing to the smooth operation of HR processes, maintain accurate employee records, respond to employee and manager queries, and support payroll administration.

This role is responsible for providing administrative support across a range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, contract management, benefits administration, and offboarding. The HR Administrator will ensure HR data is maintained accurately and confidentially, coordinate interviews and pre-employment checks, and assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and processes.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and processing employee contracts, and ensuring they are in compliance with employment laws and company policies.
  • Manage all of the incoming queries to internal HR mailbox.
  • Maintain HR-related files such as job descriptions, performance evaluations, and employee records—while ensuring GDPR compliance.

  • Maintaining HR-related databases: You will be responsible for maintaining HR-related databases, ensuring they are up to date and accurate.
  • Conducting exit interviews: You will be responsible for conducting exit interviews with employees who are leaving the company, gathering feedback, and identifying areas for improvement.li
  • You will be working closely with the HR Generalist, HR Manager and Team managers to assist them in various tasks, such as coordinating onboarding, handling employee relations issues, and managing HR-related projects.
  • Assist in processing payroll and handling payroll enquiries.
  • Overseeing the full recruitment cycle: scheduling interviews, posting job advertisements, and coordinating the recruitment process.
  • Support employee relations initiatives and help coordinate training programs.
  • You will be responsible for liaising with employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
  • Assist in arranging travel bookings for employees and ensuring travel arrangements adhere to company policies and budgets.
  • Any other task assigned by the HR Manager.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Minimum Education: HND in Business or HR related course
  • Preferred Education: BA Business/Human Resources or CIPD Level 3/5
  • Minimum Years of Experience: 1+ years as a HR Assistant or Administration role
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and Employee Relations is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of British Sign Language (advantageous)
  • Experience or awareness of the Deaf Community (advantageous)
