DPD Group is seeking a proactive Hub Operations Leader to drive strategic planning and 24/7 operational excellence across our hub network. You will direct Hub Managers and the Sort Controller team, ensuring service levels, safety, and cost targets are met while supporting a high-performance culture.

The role requires strong leadership, decisive problem solving, and a track record of managing large teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large, fast-paced 24/7 operations with staff responsibility.
• Confident communicator with ability to influence strategy and liaise with Directors.
• Decisive decision-making under time pressure.
• Passion for building and motivating high-performing teams.
• Resilience, self-motivation and flexibility in challenging environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee strategic planning for hubs and operational targets.
• Manage transport loading, movements and adherence to environmental policies.
• Control costs and reviewfinance reports (P&L, productivity statistics).
• Recruitment, interviewing and onboarding of Hub staff, including OJT programs.
• Lead absence management and discipline/grievance processes.
• Develop Hub Operations Managers and Sort Controllers through coaching and training.
• Coordinate union/employee communications and regular meetings.
