Job summary

DPDgroup is seeking an experienced Sortation Manager to lead a night-shift team of warehouse operatives across our hub. You will ensure staff are engaged, organised and motivated while trailers are loaded or unloaded, and parcels are accurately sorted to meet KPIs.

Key duties include delivering hub objectives for health and safety, productivity, and cost, and managing procedures for rapid issue resolution while maintaining high process quality.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast paced operation with demonstrable people management.
• Strong communication skills to inspire and manage a team.
• Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution and time management.
• Resilience, self-motivation and flexibility in a night shift environment.
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to use Google Chrome applications.
• Ability to perform comprehensive reporting and data analysis.
• Vigilant to unscrupulous activity and take swift action when required.
• Understand and demonstrate DP D DNA values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of warehouse operatives during the night shift, ensuring engagement, organisation and motivation.
• Oversee loading/unloading of trailers and accurate sortation to meet KPIs.
• Achieve hub objectives relating to health & safety, productivity and cost to deliver service to Depots and customers.
• Maintain and improve operational procedures with quick resolution of issues while upholding quality.
