Job summary
DPD Group UK is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our depot management team. You will oversee the smooth running of operations, drive service excellence to customers and achieve targets around cost, safety, security, productivity and transport.
You will recruit, develop and retain staff, manage P&L, and continually improve support to the operation with innovative approaches. A full UK driving licence is required and weekend work may be needed.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution industries.
- Ability to run a fast paced operation and motivate high performing teams.
- Experience monitoring performance and using data to drive improvements.
- Outstanding communication skills to influence strategy.
- Demonstrate DPD DNA values: Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Caring, Accountability.
- Depots operate 365 days a year; willing to cover 5 shifts including weekends.
- Full UK driving licence is essential.
Responsibilities
- Oversee smooth running of depot operations and drive service excellence.
- Recruitment, development and retention of staff with adherence to compliance.
- Manage P&L through planning and reporting.
- Improve overall support to operations with innovative ways of working.
