Job summary

Tokamak Energy in Milton is seeking a Magnet Engineer to join the magnet development team, driving design and validation of HTS magnets and coils for fusion and HTS applications.

You will translate performance requirements into practical engineering, support prototype campaigns, analyse test data and work with multidisciplinary teams using MATLAB/Python to develop analysis tools and report on progress and IP opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Degree (or MSc/PhD) in Physics, Engineering or related field.
  • Post-study industry experience preferred.
  • Strong fundamentals in technical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop HTS magnets and magnetic coils.
  • Translate performance requirements into engineering solutions.
  • Support prototype development, testing and campaigns.
  • Analyse test data and contribute to design improvements.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Develop software tools and analysis methods using MATLAB or Python.
  • Contribute to technical reports and IP generation.
