Job summary

Aureos is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead HSQE activities on site in Bathgate. The role focuses on providing competent health, safety, quality and site environmental advice, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with standards and client requirements.

You will mentor HSQE Advisors, champion a positive HSQE culture, and support tendering activities while coordinating with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Level 3–6 or equivalent.
• IOSH Membership Grad – Chartered (or equivalent).
• IEMA Practitioner member or above (or equivalent).
• PETALS – see new name.
• Mental Health First Aider.
• Driving Licence.
• Kelvin Top Set 1–3 day.
• Report writing course.
• Keltbray Manager & Supervisor Training.
• Behavioural Safety Training incl TCUP.

Responsibilities

• Stop unsafe works when identified and document safe solutions.
• Mentor HSQE Advisors and manage the HSQE team.
• Produce HSQE KPI information and reports.
• Attend internal/external meetings and promote HSQE activities.
• Review CDM documentation with operational team.
• Assure process and methods; monitor management system effectiveness.

Ensuring inspections and guidance for the site staff and management team is carried out. Providing challenge where required and not walking by. Promotion of safe equipment, standards and method of working. Managing and mentoring of those under their control, developing areas where the staff can improve their skills.
