Job summary

VolkerHighways is recruiting an HSEQ & Sustainability Coordinator to support data collection, validation and reporting for the HSEQ & Sustainability function across the South East & South West contracts.

You will work with operational teams, ensure data integrity, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement while balancing office-based and site-based duties.

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify discrepancies and challenge inaccuracies in data.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to deliver high-quality work to strict deadlines.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships at all levels.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative and prioritise workload effectively.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Experience using or willingness to learn systems such as EcoOnline, MSite, Sevron and Thrive.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report on data.
• Understanding of GDPR requirements and handling confidential information appropriately.
• Experience of administrative or data management duties within a business environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

About the role

As an HSEQS Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the HSEQ & Sustainability function by ensuring the accurate collection, management and reporting of business-critical data. You will work closely with operational teams and stakeholders across the business to maintain data integrity, support reporting requirements and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. The role will involve a combination of office-based and occasional site-based support across all VolkerHighways contracts in the South East & South West.
