Job summary

Go Traffic Management Limited is seeking an HSEQ Lead based in Battle to drive health, safety, environment and quality across utilities contracts. The role links to a central HSEQ team and reports to the Head of HSEQ, with responsibilities spanning governance, compliance and continuous improvement.

You will lead reporting, inspections, audits and incident investigations, ensuring site and remote activities meet UK legislation and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Health & safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent L6.
• Lead Investigator certification.
• Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001).
• IEMA Certificate (environmental).
• Knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Experience with subcontractor due diligence and compliance assessments.
• Experience developing and implementing HSEQ management systems.
• Experience leading internal audits and maintaining accreditations.
• Experience in construction or other high risk environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Promote HSEQ compliance and cascade initiatives across the business.
• Manage HSEQ reporting, inspections, audits and documentation.
• Complete verification inspections and close findings/non-conformances.
• Investigate incidents and drive quality reporting and closure.
• Prepare weekly and monthly HSEQ compliance and performance reports.
• Identify risks and drive improvements with internal and external stakeholders.
• Monitor safety statistics and share reports at client meetings.
• Support training and competency requirements for the contract.
• Build and maintain client relationships and ensure safe site and office culture.
• Support accreditations and maintain ISO and other standards.
