Job Description:

Ensure all the internal and external TotalEnergies Charging Solutions UK (TCSUK) processes are delivered safely. Work with all TCSUK team members to ensure a safe and productive environment. The incumbent will ensure the continued development and improvement of Health, Safety, Security, Environmental & Quality behaviours in line with the TCSUK strategy. The area of responsibility includes approximately 40 people, working on-site with contractors and the team.

Activities:

  1. Ensure all TCSUK team members understand their duties stemming from HSE regulations and TotalEnergies rules, focusing on team leads and contractors.
  2. Manage the HSE management system transition to TotalEnergies standards and produce all analyses and documents.
  3. Develop and manage HSE systems to ensure continued certification to relevant standards including 45001, 14001, 9001, and any other business-relevant standards or certifications.
  4. Oversee HSE-related audits (Company and external).
  5. Organize the yearly UK internal audit planner.
  6. Actively promote an HSEQ culture within the team.
  7. Review, maintain, and develop existing documentation and create new appropriate documents to address gaps identified with TotalEnergies Standards or new regulations impacting the business.
  8. Lead incident investigations and deliver recommendations that are rolled out to the people at risk, extracting and sharing learning for the full organization.
  9. Ensure emergency preparedness and coordinate effective drills against identified scenarios.
  10. Ensure all teams contribute to site audits/visits.
  11. Encourage the team to report and analyze near misses.
  12. Deliver the monthly safety committee and monthly reporting of global KPIs.
  13. TCSUK focal point for the delivery of TCSUK Safety Day.
  14. Manage relevant budgets assigned to the position and ensure continual review of effective and efficient budget control, focusing on driving down departmental and business costs.
  15. Participate in industry bodies to develop best practice guidance and introduce these into TotalEnergies' business, providing value-added support to all customers as appropriate.

Contractors:

  1. Assist Procurement with the evaluation and selection of suppliers.
  2. Identify risks and weaknesses in the selected supplier panel and work on a plan for improvement.
  3. Perform field visits/audits to ensure the appropriation and rollout of HSE rules by contractors.
  4. Take part in business reviews with suppliers and provide feedback on HSE performance.

Qualifications / Experience:

  1. 2 years of experience in a Safety role with front-end workers.
  2. Membership of IOSH - Tech level and passed NEBOSH General Certificate.
  3. Communicate confidently and articulate action plans clearly.
