The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. This role is vital in maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations.
- Create, monitor, and maintain procedures within the Quality Management System.
- Coach and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance.
- Plan and conduct audits, documenting outcomes and implementing best practices.
- Provide training on HSEQ topics to internal staff.
- Ensure company processes meet their intended outputs.
- Report on HSEQ performance and suggest improvements.
- Promote customer focus across the organization.
- Maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system.
- Carry out risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure policies are followed.
- Ensure safety and legal compliance of working practices.
- Develop health and safety strategies and policies.
- Lead training sessions on QHSE matters.
- Keep records of inspections, incidents, and produce relevant reports.
- Stay updated with legislation and industry developments.
- Attend seminars and read professional journals.
- Manage equipment safety, hazardous substance disposal, and emergency procedures.
- Advise on fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, machinery safeguarding, and occupational diseases.
- Require NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrate passion and robust knowledge in HSEQ areas.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE regulations.
- Auditor training/experience preferred.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel.
- Must have full rights to work in the UK, including IDLR or Settled Status.
