The McDermott group is seeking an HSEQ Advisor based in Perth, Scotland. This role is crucial in maintaining high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, and quality management.

Overview of the Role

• HSEQ Officer
• Holidays: 30 days, with 1 additional day per year of service (max 5 days), plus a holiday buy-back scheme for 5 days

Responsibilities

• Manage and liaise with HSEQ auditors to maintain company accreditations
• Develop, monitor, and maintain procedures within the Quality Management System
• Coach and advise employees and management on HSEQ matters to ensure legal compliance
• Plan and conduct audits, report findings, and implement best practices
• Provide training on HSEQ topics
• Ensure processes deliver desired outcomes and promote continuous improvement
• Maintain the integrity of the HSEQ management system
• Perform risk assessments and develop safe operational procedures
• Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with legislation
• Develop health and safety strategies and policies
• Lead training sessions on QHSE matters
• Record incidents, produce reports, and analyze data for improvements
• Stay updated with legislation and industry developments
• Manage hazardous substances and emergency procedures
• Possess NEBOSH General or equivalent qualification
• Demonstrate passion and knowledge in HSEQ subjects
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Proficient in MS Office
• Have experience with risk assessments, COSHH, RIDDOR, and DSE
• Hold auditor training/experience
• Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
• Must have full rights to work in the UK (IDLR or Settled Status)
