Job description

HSE Recruitment are exclusively working with a leading leisure business on the recruitment of a HSEQ Manager for a multisite role, covering all parks in England and Wales. This is a new role for the company – previously Health and Safety has been managed on a site-by-site basis by operational staff, so this is a real opportunity for someone to come in and create a culture from scratch. Currently Safety is probably more of a tick box exercise so we are looking for someone enthusiastic and passionate about safety, who can work closely with sites to change their understanding of the subject. The company does currently have systems in place (un-accredited) but these will probably need to be looked at and may need development.

The role will be home based with regular travel across the UK to sites, so the right person must be prepared for extensive travel. You will ideally have a background as a safety professional in leisure, hotels, retail, events or similar, and will be qualified to NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent. A bonus would be an IEMA Certificate but we can look at those that have environmental experience rather than a qualification if you have the right background and approach. We are also very open to someone ready to take their next step into a manager position, providing the right qualification and experience in multisite operations.

In return we are able to offer a salary of £45k per annum, plus car or car allowance. In addition, you offer 30 days holiday (including bank), 5% contributory pension, sick leave, one days paid volunteer leave per year – as well as other wellbeing benefits such as cycle to work scheme, EAP and high street discounts.
