Job summary

Stirling Warrington Ltd in Leamington Spa is recruiting an experienced Health, Safety & Environmental Manager to drive HSE standards across manufacturing, assembly, warehouse and maintenance operations.

You will lead the site safety strategy, coach managers and employees, maintain the ISO 45001 system and ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation, including PUWER, LOLER, COSHH and Fire Safety.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH General Certificate (essential) and manufacturing HSE experience.
• Strong knowledge of UK H&S legislation.
• Experience with ISO 45001 management systems.
• Strong accident investigation and risk assessment skills.
• Confident influencing and coaching at all levels.
• Proactive, practical problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site HSE strategy and improvement plan.
• Provide visible safety leadership and coaching across teams.
• Maintain and improve ISO 45001 management system.
• Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation (PUWER, LOLER, COSHH, MHSWR and Fire safety).
• Lead risk assessments, audits, inspections and corrective actions.
• Oversee machinery safety, LOTO, manual handling and FLT/pedestrian safety.
• Lead accident and near-miss investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Use HSE data and leading indicators to reduce risk.
• Promote a stop-work culture and continuous learning in safety.

This is a hands-on, shopfloor-focused role with responsibility for driving HSE standards, compliance and safety culture across manufacturing, assembly, warehouse/logistics and maintenance operations.

NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH membership and ISO 45001 auditing experience are desirable.
