Job summary

Crown Paints is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to lead day-to-day health, safety and environmental activities at our Hull site. You'll work with the Operations team to promote a positive safety culture and empower colleagues to do the right thing on the shop floor.

You will influence how we work, challenge practices, and implement improvements that matter. The role requires NEBOSH Diploma, strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, and proven ability to lead investigations and maintain ISO/OSH

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health, Safety and Environmental role within manufacturing.
• NEBOSH Diploma qualification.
• Solid understanding of UK HSE legislation.
• Experience supporting risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• The confidence to challenge constructively and build relationships.
• Proactive, collaborative mindset with a safety-first approach.
• Experience in chemical manufacturing, paints or coatings is valuable but not essential.
• Willingness to bring fresh ideas from other manufacturing environments.

• Make safety part of everyday life: work with colleagues and leaders to build awareness and ownership of safety.
• Drive continuous improvement: identify opportunities to strengthen HSE practices.
• Keep us safe and compliant: meet COSHH, RIDDOR, PUWER and LOLER requirements.
• Lead incident investigations and share lessons learned with meaningful improvements.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance across Operations.
