Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Health & Safety Manager for the NZT project at Redcar site. You will support the HS&W Lead, develop systems, deliver safety training and oversee risk assessments to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across the project.

Experience in complex construction environments, strong CDM knowledge and proactive leadership are essential. The role offers onsite work with flexibility where possible.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH / C&G Diploma L5+ required.
• Member of IOSH or equivalent.
• Experience in H&S on multi-discipline construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Support HS&W Lead in developing and implementing the Management System and HS&W procedures.
• Provide advice and support to project personnel on HS&W roles and responsibilities.
• Develop and deliver safety training programmes and toolbox talks.
• Undertake risk assessments and ensure RAMS are fit for tasks.
• Lead audits and inspections and report findings to management.
• Promote a positive safety culture and interface with partners/clients.
